our approach
At BLOC, we don’t point fingers or play the blame game. Instead, we unify with our neighbors, set goals, and own the issues on our block. We believe that by working together, everything is possible!
project Highlight
Sunny Cove
Sunny Cove, a well-established community of 400 single-family homes, located between Dr. Walter Tucker Park, Jazmine Gardens and Wilmington Arms, is a culturally diverse and active group of residents who take pride in their community.
Residents regularly co-partner to beautify this area to landscape their yards and weekly sidewalk and street cleaning of the surrounding areas.
Their current major project is the revival of the perimeter wall that faces Wilmington Avenue, Laurel and Center Streets. This project includes wall repair and painting, a joint effort with three Compton non-profits.
